Rolf Hansen, is a Danish guitarist with a background in jazz. He has been much-in-demand studio and session musician in his home country and recorded and toured solo as Il Tempo Gigante relentlessly. After a phase of reorientation, he now presents purely instrumental solo guitar works under his civil name, deeply rooted in the traditions of the instrument. One might be able to hear traces of folk, country, Americana, jazz, minimal and improvised music and even the blues in his sparse, often meditative vignettes.

Rolf Hansen's third solo album, "Elektrisk Guitar“ is a wonderful thing in pink and has been released by the equally wonderful Karaoke Kalk label late in 2019.

His introverted solo appearances are awe-inspiring and radiating affairs reminiscent of the guitar's unsung and more idiosyncratic heroes.
