(Crammed Discs, Dar Es Salaam)

The sensational Jagwa Music are an equally crazy and dynamic high-speed crew directly from the streets of Tanzania's most vivid city Dar Es Salaam. A cheap hand-held Casio keyboard, a set of very basic percussion instruments including a haywire stool and two megaphones - it takes nothing more to kill audiences with antsy 200+ BPM beats. Jagwa Music's raw approach to Afro-Punk works both in small venues as well as on the big festival stage - the group has played top events like Roskilde, Womad, Sfinks and Øya.

Currently Jagwa Music are working on a collaborative project with Germany's leading techno producers Gebrüder Teichmann, which celebrated its triumphant premiere at East Africa's leading live music event Sauti za Busara on Zanzibar this February!
