We are proud to be part of Africa Music Convention, happening for the first time on September 4 and 5 2014 in Berlin. The showcase program features exclusive collaborations between a host of prominent Berlin-based musicians and producers such as Burnt Friedman, Gebrüder Teichmann and Puppetmastaz and exciting up and coming Africa artists. planet rock presents a mutual concert of influential Ghanaian Frafra singer and banjoist Guy One and The Polyversal Souls, the brain-child of Muggy Whitefield (né Max Weissenfeldt), formerly of Poets of Rhythm on the first night. Did we mention that the addmitance to these shows is free?

Go west (life is peaceful there)

We couldn't be more excited: planet rock is happy to present two concerts in two landmark locations of the "old" West-Berlin: "Trans-gender street legend" Baby Dee is inviting you to one of her highly emotional solo shows at Haus der Berliner Festspiele on Thursday, 26.06.2014, while the new Tropicalia psych rock sensation Fumaça Preta (the masked fellows above) will perform live for the first in Germany on the terrace of the "pregnant oyster" overlooking the Spree river on Saturday, 28.06.2014. We hope to see you there!

The ever expanding universe's best R.O.C.K. band.

This is a only a short note saying that after the mind-blowing Circle Fest last year Circle (Ex-Falcon) will return to sunny Berlin to open for Old Man Gloom (Ex-Isis) on Tuesday, 08.04.2014. Get ready for some serious Rocking and Rolling!

Baby Dee in Scandinavia!

The exquisite song writer, breath-taking performer and "transgender street legend" Baby Dee is embarking on a short Scandinavian tour from April 8 - 12, which will lead her to the mega cities of Stockholm and Oslo as well as to the equally rural and scenic sites of Hamburgsund and Skövde - catch her there if you happen to be close!

We hardly could be more excited: Fall 2014 will bring amazing new records from planet rock folks like The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band, Selvhenter, Ogoya Nengo and Ethiopian legend Hailu Mergia - the later one will release a long overdue reissue of the classic Walias Band album "Tche Belew" and a seven inch of brand-new music on Philophon)...
