BABY DEE, singer, pianist, harpist and accordionist extraordinaire can look back on a wild and vivid biography: born in cleveland ohio she moved to new york in the early 1970ies, worked as a choir leader and music teacher at a catholic church, later to join the coney island sideshow circus, eventually cruising around the city on a giant tricycle with a full-sized concert harp attached to it. back in cleveland she worked as a professional tree surgeon before fully concentrating on her career as a musician.
 
her musical style is as unique as it is defying classification, but feel free to call it KUNSTLIED if you are really in need of a category. the main topic of her funny, grotesque, serious and sad lyrics is love, while her voice varies from almost breathy to lilting, from fragile to powerful.
