“no one sounds, has sounded or will ever sound quite like VOLCANO THE BEAR.” LOSING TODAY
great news are on they way: the brilliant, ever-surprising VOLCANO THE BEAR will be back in 2013 - to be more precise, in the second half of may.
again, the band will be touring in its core line-up consisting of AARON MOORE (on vocals, trumpet, tapes, drums and various toys) and DANIEL PADDEN (who plays keyboards, clarinet, vocals & acoustic guitar).
VOLCANO THE BEAR were dubbed as "england's first substantial avantgarde band" but you won't get away with this all too obvious classification as their music refuses to be classified. influences clearly include customer-friendly names from the international avant-circus like THIS HEAT, SUN RA, ALBERT AYLER and FAUST, some trained ears might even find sudden remnants of everything from old folk to modern classical, musique concrete and even free jazz in there: yet, the whole spectrum of VOLCANO THE BEAR's special appeal only unfolds in their unique, often chaotic live shows...
we know that some of you guys can not wait to get their yearly dose of absurd-yet-brilliant-entertainment-cum-improv-and-noise! you better get in touch right now to a book a show. rumors are saying that in the coming some of the leading festivals of eastern we mean central europe will be also on the routing, stay tuned for more news...
